Canneries to Computers

“Canneries to Computers” explores the evolution of work life in the Santa Clara Valley. Fruit canning and computer technology are the major industries that have brought economic growth, population expansion, changes to the landscape, and international recognition to the Valley.

Key Ingredients

Key Ingredients explores how Californians have acquired, preserved, and cooked food throughout the decades. Personal narratives and illustrated period kitchens demonstrate how the domestic roles of women have changed from the time of the Ohlone to the present day.

The Historical Museum is a one room exhibit gallery with four exhibit stations, a visitor orientation area, a rare electric car, a historical fire hose tower, and a native plant garden called, Campbell's Roots.

General Store

Campbell's first general stores were a vital part of commerce in the this bustling nineteenth century town. Artifacts and photographs in the exhibit tell the story of early general stores and their roles as places of business, but also as a Community gathering place.

This exhibit explores the history of Campbell's athletes and sports teams. Visitors can enjoy three please touch inter-actives, practice their skills on a balance board, and watch footage of the produced some of Campbell's most successful athletes: the 1969 Little League World Series and Winchester Skatepark Open
