The Campbell Museums is recruiting
volunteers! Volunteers are needed in every area: Greeters, Docents, Museum Foundation Board Members, Garden Volunteers, and Special Events.

The Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House offer many opportunities for volunteers. Individuals interested in history, decorative arts, historic gardens, or historic preservation will find volunteering an exciting way to help the museum and meet new like-minded individuals.

GARDEN VOLUNTEERS
The Ainsley House garden volunteers assist the City of Campbell Public Works Department in maintaining a beautiful setting for weddings and events at the Ainsley House. Volunteers help in the planning, planting, and maintenance of the grounds in the style of a garden from the 1920s and 1930s. Garden volunteers met every Tuesday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Ainsley House. No experience is necessary but love for nature is welcome. No minimum time requirement.

AINSLEY HOUSE DOCENTS
After completing training, docents give tours of the Ainsley House during our public hours and occasionally for special groups and events. These tours share information about life in Campbell in the 1920s and 1930s, the biography of the Ainsley family, and details about the house and its contents. Docents serve as one of the many faces of the museum and greet and host the museum's guests. Docents must commit to two four-hour shifts each month.

AINSLEY HOUSE GREETERS
The Carriage House Gallery at the Ainsley House relies on volunteers to maintain our regular hours: Friday- Sunday, 11:00 - 3:00 PM. Greeters welcome visitors, process admission, and answer questions about the house and exhibitions. No experience is necessary but love for history and people is always welcome.

SUMMER CONCERT SERIES VOLUNTEERS
Summer concerts are held every summer in downtown Campbell on the Orchard City Green between the Campbell Library and City Hall. All proceeds from these concerts benefit the Museum Foundation. Volunteers are needed to help the Foundation with event set-up, concessions, information, and clean-up.

SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Help at Museum events such as History Happy Hour, Wine and Music Series, Holiday Open Houses, Holiday Teas, Mother’s Day Teas, and more. Duties may include: Serving tea, preparing food, greeting guests, supervising visitors inside the Ainsley House, assisting visitors, and more

The Ainsley House is closed in January and February. The Historical Museum is open year round. Both museums are closed for two weeks during the December holidays.

Research volunteers needed
The Campbell Museums is recruiting for research volunteers who can help the Museums better understand Campbell's past.
If you love history, are able to research independently, want to contribute to a more inclusive and comprehensive history of the Campbell community, then the Campbell Museums would love to have you join our research volunteer team!
