Join us for an afternoon filled with history, memories, and the heart's delight.

We will be treated to an original documentary film by Chip Curry called HEART's DELIGHT, AN ORCHARD STORY. It follows the history and harvest of Messina Farms.

 

Marilyn Messina describes 20th-century life on her family’s orchards in the in the “Valley of Heart’s Delight,” Santa Clara Valley, CA. Viewers follow five stages in fruit trees’ yearly cycle—from dormancy through harvest. Each stage relates to her family’s growth, from her grandfather’s arrival from Sicily in 1905 to their cultivation of four hundred acres in the 1960s.

Also featuring Dr. Elisabeth Ward, Andy Mariani, Charlie Olson, Lisa Prince Newman, and many others.

 

This event occurs inside the Carriage House, next to the historic Ainsley House.

Doors will open at 2:00 pm.

Light appetizers and beverages will be served.

The film will begin at 2:30pm.

After the film, there will be a discussion with Chip Curry, the filmmaker, and Marilyn Messina.

 

· Seating is provided.

· This is an indoor event.

· Beverages & light appetizers will also be offered beginning at 2pm

· The Carriage House is the garage structure of the Ainsley House.

· Parking is available in the Museum /Library parking lot located at : 77 Harrison Ave, Campbell, CA 95008

PLEASE NOTE: Parking is VERY limited due to the ongoing construction of the Campbell Library and new Campbell Police Station. If parking cannot be found in the direct lot, there is street parking and public parking garages on 1st St and 4th St in downtown Campbell. Only a few blocks away.
